30 Days of Peace is a global networking and awareness raising project that seeks to track, link, and support the uncharted number of peace-related events and projects happening around the world each year in September and October.
30 Days of Peace begins on September 11th, the 101st anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's creation of the modern non-violence movement, and concludes on October 10th, the birthday of the late international journalist and musician Daniel Pearl. The central focus of 30 Days of Peace is the annual International Day of Peace (Peace Day) held on September 21st.
In 2007, the inaugural 30 Days of Peace campaign seeks to formalize this global network by creating a global event database and conducting a viral awareness campaign. Our goal is to increase participation in year round Peacebuilding work.
30 Days of Peace, under the auspices of The Culture of Peace Initiative, is a joint project of Pathways To Peace & Earthdance International
